Red Cross

I included two services related to the red cross. When I was home I could fortunatelly complete both of them, but blood donation was a bit more difficult to succeed. As far as my clothes are concerned I gathered all of them into 2 fully loaded black garbage bags which were the only good size bags to carry the cloths around properly. There are several containers in Hungary set up by the Red Cross so I just had to place the bags into them and they are donated wherever they fit according to their schedule.
For the blood donation I had to struggle a bit and go 3 times because for the first time they wouldn't accept only the copy of my insurance which was pretty annoying..
The second time I did bring my original insurance but my girlfriend and I were in such a hurry that we barely ate anything so we decided to drink some sugary drinks before the donation. As soon as they spotted us told us that there is no way they are going to take blood if we did not eat, so it was a stupid idea to admit it. I have to be honest I never donated blood before and though it would be alright if I drink a coke or something before the donation.
The third time went perfectly well tho. There was a donation truck parking, actually pretty close to, where I live, on Örs Vezér's Square that day (we always checked on the internet where it is possible) and succeeded :) It was hard but managed to take some pictures too! It might look like a bracelet, it's not :) It's a tube with my blood in it :O

Lunch Time Club

Eventhough the club I planned was about building snowmen and rating them, it turned into something totally different, however I enjoy it a lot more. Not too long ago Shaun, Stefan and I started to go to the gym, just the three of us. We started doing a so called 'Insanity workout' but only the videos which are short enough to finish up on time and get to our next class.

It was AWESOME. We were suffering, grunting, screaming and shouting by the end of that 30 minutes but we loved it. We decided to go every day until the summer but only to workout the abdominals since we go to the gym after school and not to mess up our regular workout plan. If there was more time/equipment/room it could expand into something even better because:...
...the three of us attracted a lot of people :) People first just came and watched how ridiculus we look but we just told them to try it, so they did. Yesterday almost 20 people was there, today maybe a bit less but it will soon be known who is a daily visitor and who is not.
Even lower grade students tried to work out with us and we were pretty proud with the guys :)
We will keep doing it and I think many other people will, since wasting the time on NOTHING during the 1 out gym is now seems a catastrophy now that we know so much better to do.
Actually it is my dream coming true since im really in love with fitness/bodybuilding and this is exactly how I imagined my future too, in a full time job of course.
We haven't taken any pictures yet but I'm sure they are coming :)

Winter Sport's Day

So on the 13th of March our Winter Sports Activity day was held. It was awesome :) Thibaut, Kirill and I were one of the groups who had to do their activity outside of the school, and even though we expected an extremly cold weather for the whole day it was sunny and nice :) So now it is obvious that our work had to be done collaboratively together. This is only one of the many outcomes done that day, because it was a really fast going day with a bounch of things to be done!
So our group agreed on a Touch-Rugby game in the meter high snow which was scary for the first time but after some of us from Year 12 tried it out we figured its fun as hell :) I mean tackling each other in the snow, running with knees up high with no other aim but to reach a goal line made our days. I didn't even know the rules before so I also increased my awareness of my own strength and areas for growth while playing a new sport and undertook some new challenges when I was playing!
So we planned our activity and set it up behind the volleyball and football course, put some poles down for endzones and sprayed the snow with lines so its obvious where the course was.
I also  developed new skills when I was being a referee and figured that it wasn't really about the rules but the fact that its supposed to be fun..so we changed the rules sometimes to avoid chaos but allow lower grade students to enjoy the game in the snow.

There were many other activities such as building different kind of animals or characters out of snow and paint them, an obsticle course was set up (and I honestly think that was the BEST activity since you could revenge all your anger when a teacher was running the course since it was allowed to throw snowballs (snowblocks :D:D) at them to make it harder to succeed :P), also there were inside activities which I didn't really get to see but I'm sure they were fun as well :)
I also uploaded some pictures and when I lokk at them I realize what a perfect day was picked to do all this. The snow hasn't been so good to build anything for a really long time and I still don't get how our teacher's picked such a good day to do all this :)
Thank God weather is getting warmer day by day in Moscow too so everyone in general is in a better mood too :)
Hope you like the pics!

In thy Gym.

I have been going to a gym somewhere around Novie Chereyomusky since the beginning of the year. Even though I wanted to take it seriously I went home to Hungary every 1.5 months and that 1 or 2 weeks of skipping made things difficult. Since the winter holiday I cleaned up my diet, I attend the gym 5-6 times a week (3days of workout then one day of rest). I struggled a bit to show evidence so I made a video but had to change format, so I decided to upload it to youtube :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5N3cUi9gCw&feature=youtube_gdata

On this video I'm showing the right form of doing a Deadlift(125kg) (this was my 'back and bicep day'). I'm pretty exhausted by this time since this was my very last bit of the whole workout routine for the day but I decided to capture it so I asked my friend (and the coach of the gym) to handle the phone. We could say this is working collaboratively together since my russian is pretty bad but we manage to talk half english half russian and solved the problem :)

By commiting myself to pretty strict diet and excersising rules now I'm undertaking new challanges, since I have been lifting weights for years now (and will be for a long time - I know it :)) I'm showing perseverance and commitment in this activity and I'm always  developing new skills  when I listen to my friend giving me advices on things such as the right form of doing a Deadlift.
I also increased my awareness of my ares of growth and again undertook new challanges by figuring how to upload and format a video (never done before :))

I hope you like the video:)

Pancake in a cake - smart

Last time I showed how I make my own protein bar I usually eat in the school during little breaks to keep hunger away and still eat something healthy.
Today I'm going to write about a cake I made for my family during my sickness. I had to sit at home for over a week and I was bored out of my mind so I made something every day. I totally forgot to take pictures of the other foods but when I make them again I will definetly not skip taking them.
To stay at a healthy level I made these pencakes from minced oat, eggs, lowfat milk (0.5%), and olive oil. I thought its not gonna taste as good as the original ones but I think there was no significant other than the size of the pencake. I couldnt grind the oat into a clear powder so it was made up of bigger oatpieces.

It didnt matter when I decided to put one on another and put some creamy choclety, yet no sugary filling and some dried pineapple pieces between the layers.
I also forgot to take a picture of the final product and eventhough my family is not really into this diet thing they ate more than half of the cake after the chrispy chicken supper. (I also cooked some chicken:) )

Here are some pictures though from the preparing and one after consuming the half of it :)

During this activity I:
  • Planned and initiated activities
  • Undertook new challanges
  • Increased my awareness of my own strength and areas of growth
  • Developed new skills

Valentine's Day

I have to make a post on Valentine's Day eventhough I wasn't present. It was part of my CAS Plan to do service and be creative by making posters and so but 10 days before the disco I got a bacterial infection which made it impossible for me to attend the disco or help selling, organizing, advertising it. Many people say it was awesome and after coming to school I heard that all the teachers and students were realy satisfied with the results of their work. The school also raised a lot of money from such things as selling food and setting up games. This money usually goes to charity supporting children or disabled people which is worth all the effort. I really do hope there is going to be another disco to fulfil my plan, but this time it was just impossible for me to be present.
